Dr. Mirza Mohammad Kamran is a distinguished pediatric cardiologist, academician, and changemaker dedicated to advancing care for children with heart disease. Trained in pediatric cardiology with extensive experience across high-volume centers, he has independently performed over 5000 cardiac procedures and contributed to more than 1000 open-heart surgeries. He holds a remarkable world record for successfully closing a large ventricular septal defect in the smallest baby (2.3 kg) in the cath lab—an achievement that reflects both skill and innovation.

Beyond clinical excellence, Dr. Kamran has been instrumental in building and strengthening pediatric cardiac services in resource-limited settings. He played a key role in establishing the pediatric cardiac program at JNMC, AMU, Aligarh, and has actively contributed to expanding services in Lucknow and internationally in regions like Somalia, ensuring access to life-saving care where it is needed the most.

A passionate advocate for ethical and equitable healthcare, he has been deeply involved in social initiatives, outreach camps, and capacity-building programs aimed at early diagnosis and timely intervention for children with congenital heart disease. Through this foundation, his vision is to bridge gaps in care, empower communities, and give every child the chance to live a healthy, fulfilling life.
